A white dress shirt is the one piece of formal wear with no substitute. Under a tuxedo it is the only correct colour; under a navy or charcoal jacket it is what an interview and a wedding both expect.
Fabric. Four-way stretch shirting, 85% polyester with 15% spandex. It moves with the arm and shoulder and keeps a flat front through a full day rather than creasing after the first hour.
Fit and sizing. Slim through the chest and sleeve, tapered at the waist, cut to be worn tucked. Sizes Small to XXXL.
Care. Machine wash warm. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, warm iron.
Wears with. Any Flex Tailor jacket. $59.99, which makes it the cheapest part of a formal outfit and the one that does the most to make the rest of it look right.
Sizing note. Slim-fit shirting runs closer than a classic cut. If you are between sizes, or you want room across the shoulders for a full day of wear, take the larger size; the stretch takes up the slack at the waist.
