Sage is a muted green that works as a quiet alternative to white. It sits well under navy, charcoal, brown and olive jackets, and it photographs softer than white does in bright daylight.
Fabric. 85% polyester, 15% spandex. Four-way stretch shirting that moves with the shoulder instead of pulling across the back, and holds a flat front through the day rather than creasing after the first hour like cotton.
Fit and sizing. Cut slim through the chest and sleeve, to be worn tucked. Sizes XS to 6XL, which is a wider run than most formal shirting carries at either end.
Care. Machine wash warm at 40°. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, warm iron.
Wears with. Any jacket in the range. Under a Motion or Tailored suit it is the layer nobody comments on when it is right and everybody notices when it is not.
Why not cotton. Cotton shirting breathes better but creases from the first hour and needs pressing after every wash. This runs the other way: it comes out of the machine flat and stays that way through a wedding, a shift or a flight. $79.99.
